Sony S-Log 3 Natural Film LUTs

Includes 6 LUTs made for Sony S-Log 3 | S-Gamut3.Cine. These will not work with any other profiles.

My previous LUTs were based off my legacy workflow. These new ones are cleaner and hold more of S-Log 3’s dynamic range and skin tones. A mix of clean and filmic. Based on Arri’s color science, I push the image further for a creamy texture. I created the perfect set of curves to really give those filmic tones and contrast on the skin.

I set my highlight peaking zebras to 94 when using the Natural Monitor, but for the rest of the LUTs I use 92.

NATURAL

This is the starting base. Just clean colors with minimal shifts, but will still have those set of curves I created to get the skin to pop.

NATURAL +

A continuation of Natural, but further pushing the curve to give a more creamy texture to the highlights and shadows.

NATURAL FILM

This is where I begin to introduce my film tones. Based on Kodak Vision 3 500T and a Kodak Portra mix.

FILM CREAM | FILM WEST | FILM NORTH

Different custom grades that go with the Natural FIlm base. Cream will further push the film tones. West will give you those iconic yellowish highlights that we’re familiar with on those classic westerns. North is more of a node to Kodak Vision 3 250D, with cooler highlights while preserving skin tones.
