These luts are a Kodak 2383 film emulation but designed to chase down my favorite final printed film looks. These are HEAVY luts. They’re made to do all the heavy work, all you need to do is correct your EXPOSURE, WHITE BALANCE, and TINT. From there, you have creative freedom to do whatever you want!

Since these LUTs push the film look to the next level, I have exported them into a 65grid LUTs. Each LUT has a subtle shift in contrast and tones, but from scene to scene you’ll see more dramatic shifts.

In low light scenes you’ll really see the heavier looks shine. And on day light scenes I like to really drag the exposure down in post to bring out the faded blacks on the heavier LUTs as well. I personally like to use film grain after the LUTs cause it really brings out the density to the colors I was pursing.

Included in your download is a folder named MONITOR. In this folder there are a 17grid LUTs that should work in most cameras and monitor. A stated they are very heavy, I personally love using them on all my cameras and monitors but they’re not for accuracy, more for taste. Some banding may occur. I also included a -1.5 stop LUT which will under expose your monitor by -1.5 stops. Great for Sony cameras that don’t have Cine EI mode.

BONES

This is the full LOOK but without any contrast adjustment. Its basically a heavy baked in color transformation.

NEST

A continuation of BONES, but with my custom film curves. This is pretty much the core look in the series.

HALF SPEED

This LUT further pushes the look and increase the film curve and contrast.

FULL SPEED

This pushes the LUT once again and adds a fade to the shadows and a toned highlight rolloff.

OFF THE RECORD

I push this LUT past the limits. It’s basically all of the above but cranked to 11.
